  The recovery from the former owners is well underway. I can understand the disappointment of those who lost money to the former owners, but you should judge it now on the basis of the new owner. The Nant Estate is now open, the cellar door is open, and the distillery plant is open for inspection tours through the old mill house. The cellar door has stocks of the bourbon, sherry and port whiskies. They are presently doing works to stabilise the (convict-built) water supply canal and mill race, so the pond is empty. Also, the kitchen is not yet up to full capacity, so they are only doing coffee and cake. But the usual cellar door staff were there and very pleasant, and I was told the original distilling crew will be running again as soon as the water works (needed for cooling) are complete. Contrary to some reports, the original mash tun, fermentation tanks, wash still and spirit still were all still there in the mill house. 4 stars because I am sure it will deserve 5 once the kitchen is serving meals.

  Great tour and tasting, talked to the distillers! Under new ownership, they are expanding and fixing up the site. No lunch option and the moment only coffee and cake other than the whisky. Not much else around the area other than nant. But enjoyed my visit!

  A lovely pub with good food and friendly, welcoming staff. Try the venison pie if it's available. Delicious! The dining room has a lovely fireplace. We are very glad we stopped here for lunch.
